The information annex 3 relating to DIN VDE 0873 contains a code of practice for a practicable proceeding to minimize radio noise caused by overhead power lines and high-voltage equipment. The frequency range considered extends from 150 kHz to 300 MHz. Appropriate information is provided that schould be observed both when designing various fittings and parts and when pulling cables and mounting overhead line steel parts. Moreover methods intended to prove and to locate those noise levels, and procedures that are, in general, to be easily applied are set forth through which the generation of these noise levels can be obviated or at least be reduced. In the annex the CIGRE formula for the prediction of the radio interfernce field strength produced by the conductors of an overhead line is represented.
