This specification applies to single-core stranded hard-drawn copper conductors covered with braid or with polyvinyl chloride or copolymer (PVC), and intended for overhead lines. It does not apply to single or multi-core conductors such as weatherproofer rubber-insulated cavles, neutral-screened cables and the like.
